About us
We are June and Ken Russell and since 1998 we have become established growers of Christmas Trees in Northern Ireland, producing trees and foliage to help brighten up your home or office over the festive season.

Fraser Fir
The Fraser Fir is sturdy and very popular with its slim profile and symmetrical shape. It gives off the unmistakable aroma of Christmas, and with its strong branches it’s a great choice for holding any type of decoration.

Nordman Fir
The Nordman Fir is a more open tree with full, lush, green foliage with a sheen off the long needles which are soft and child friendly. The lack of aroma makes this tree more allergy friendly than other types.

Noble Fir
The Noble Fir can have a blueish tinge at times, this tree is also open and traditionally displays distinctive layers. In recent times the market has demanded fuller trees, so growers have reacted through pruning and growth control in order to produce a denser tree.

Our pot-grown Fraser Firs arrive as 3-year-old seedlings and are potted-up, in the nursery or grown in 'field pots', through 3, 4 or 5 growing seasons.

Offering A Wide RANGE of cut & Pot-GRown Christmas Trees
At ChristmasTreesNI, a lot of manual effort goes into producing suitable trees that will look wonderful in your home or business. Our overall approach to choosing trees for market is predominately a one grade system in which the standard is ‘pleasing to the eye’.
We are mainly a two-person operation, but harvest time is when we need a lot of help from family and friends.
About Our Trees
The original species of Fir (Abies) were mostly found on the snowline where growth was controlled by the climate at such levels. At lowland levels excessive growth has to be curtailed by pruning and shearing to produce the desired symmetry. This involves a lot of repetitive work in order to produce a Christmas Tree to as near perfection as possible.
